The Consumer Competition Claims Foundation ruled inadmissible in proceedings against Apple Store
The Amsterdam District Court has delivered a disappointing ruling for the Consumer Competition Claims Foundation (CCC) in the matter against Apple for overcharging customers. The action seeks to halt Apple’s monopolistic behaviour and compensate consumers.
The court ruled that the Foundation is not admissible in the litigation alleging that the Foundation’s writ was not issued in time.
The Foundation, in collaboration with its attorneys, will study the ruling and consider next steps, including lodging appeal proceedings. At this stage registrants are not required to take any steps due to the ruling rendered.
The foundation will inform registrants of the next steps.
